Mama Wake Your Child

I’ve begun recording poems I’ve published over the last thirty years. I’d like to post unpublished work too, but most lit magazines regard a work appearing in a blog as “previously published” – they’ll accept nothing I post here. Still, I’ve got enough old work to post new recordings every couple of weeks through the summer.

The recording quality is only adequate. As a newbie, I find the equipment and apps finicky. Eventually, I’ll  get some training in podcast production, the limited skill set I need to do this right. Meanwhile, these are good enough.

To start is a piece originally published (as was nearly everything I wrote then) at Poetry/LA, where the late Helen Friedland presided for nearly fifteen years. Thank you, Helen, for giving my work an early home.
